Spreading smile on others faces is the best thing one can do. Lays is appreciating those who spread smiles through charitable acts or good deeds. Just, share your or your friend or family member “Smiles Story” in the Smile With Lay's Contest and get a chance to feature on Lays potato chips bag. Not only that, you will be also awarded with $5,000 cash.

Limit: You must be 18 years or above (19 years in AL and NE, 21 years in MS) at the time of entry. There is a limit of one nomination per person per day but you cannot nominate the same person twice.

How To Enter:

You can nominate yourself or someone in your community that is “Spreading smiles to others through charitable acts or good deeds”.

Nominating Someone Else:

The Entry process shall consist of two parts:

Part 1: To be completed by the Nominator

Visit www.smilewithlays.com, click on “Nominate Someone” button and submit the Nominator/Registration Form with your first and last name, date of birth and Nominee’s first name. After that, submit the Nominee’s Smiles Story and watch for a sharable link (generated and displayed onscreen). You have to share this Personal Link with the Nominee you nominated via text, Facebook Messenger or email.

 Part 2: To be completed by the Nominee

 Access the www.smilewithlays.com using the Personal Link provided to you by the Nominator. After that, complete and submit the “Nominee Form” with your first and last name, email address, date of birth, state, zip code and phone number. You can edit your submission in the Story Field and Impact Field. Now, upload an image of you smiling and provide social handles, local press/recognition, other supporting Web Sites, etc. links to support your nomination (optional).

By completing Part 2 of the entry process, you agree with Nominator’s submission of the Nominee’s Smiles Story and its impact on others.

Nominating Yourself:

Visit www.smilewithlays.com, click on “Nominate Yourself” button and enter your email address to get started. After that, complete and submit the Registration Form with your first and last name, date of birth, state, zip code and home state. Then, share your Smiles Story & the impact you have had on others. Now, upload an image of you smiling and provide social handles, local press/recognition, other supporting Web Sites, etc. links to support your nomination (optional).

Judging:

Round 1 Judging

A Panel of judges will evaluate all the eligible Entries on the basis of the following judging criteria:

• Impactful - How many people has Nominee’s Smiles Story already touched? (50%)
• Irresistible - Is Nominee’s Smiles Story buzzworthy and interesting? (25%)
• Inspirational - Is Nominee’s Smiles Story a call to action for others to start spreading smiles? (15%)
• Magnetic Smile and Overall Appeal – Could Nominee’s smile potentially be used on a limited-edition, future run of LAY’S® bags (“LAY’S® Smiles Bag”)? (10%)

The 60 Entries with the highest scores will be deemed Semi-Finalists. The judges may conduct interviews and request for additional materials relating to the applicable Entry.

Round 2 Judging

The 60 Semi-Finalists will be awarded with a trip where they have to participate in photo shoot and a video recording to tell their Smiles Story in 30 second or less. Additional details to be provided at the time of notification.

Following the Semi-Finalist Trip Prize, the Panel of judges will evaluate all Photo Shoot Materials(photos, Semi-Finalists ability to tell their Smiles Story in 30 second or less while being filmed and Semi-Finalists written Smiles Story which must be written in 140 characters or less by Semi-Finalist) based on the following judging criteria:

• Overall appeal for potential on-pack (on LAY’S® Smiles Bag) presence; physical smile and appearance (70%)
• Ability to tell their Smile Story in a clear and compelling way (30%)

The 35 to 60 entries with the highest scores will be declared the “Finalists” whose smiles will appear on “LAY’S® Smiles Bags”.

Prizes:

A Trip to Dallas, Texas

Trip consists of

• Round-trip coach air transportation to Dallas, Texas
• Single-occupancy hotel accommodations for up to 2 nights/3 days in Texas
• $100 pre-paid gift card per day for ground transportation and meals

The total ARV of each Semi-Finalist Prize is $7,300.
