MLB.com Beat the Streak Contest

Difficulty Level : Very Hard ( 5 out of 5 ) Joe DiMaggio’s iconic 56 game hit streaks is one of the most impressive sporting achievements of all time. In honor of this, MLB.com is hosting a contest once again for its 16th season. Herein you have to pick one player everyday who you think will get at least one hit in that day's game and if your goal is to reach 57 consecutive correct picks, and if you’re the first to do so, you’ll win $5,600,000. So, participate in and become millionaire overnight!

Limit: Entrant must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. And, they are allowed to select up to two players everyday.

How to Register?

To participate in the Contest, you must be registered member of MLB.com. Here are two ways to get registration - online at www.mlb.com or by mobile application.

1. Online Registration via the MLB.com Portal:

During the Registration Period (Start on March 31, 2017 and end on 5 minutes prior to the final game of the 2016 MLB regular season), make your visit at www.mlb.com/bts or www.mlb.com/fantasy and click on the banners, buttons and/or links for the Contest to access the Contest registration page, and then follow the given directions to register for the Contest.

2. Beat the Streak Application:

First you have to install the Application using a compatible device as directed. As soon as installed, follow the instructions to launch the Application and get registered for the contest.

How to Play?

Selection of Players:

During the Contest Period, every day on which a regular season MLB game is played you can get chance to select one or two players from a list displayed by MLB.com of MLB players who are on each MLB Club's active roster on that Game Day.
You can select any MLB player from the Active Players List, including any player you have formerly chosen, until 5 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the MLB game.

You can make your daily player selection up to 10 calendar days prior to any Game Day and change your selection at any time earlier to the Lock Time for any applicable MLB player on that Game Day. The Active Players List may change as a result of injury or other roster changes, so be alert!

How to establish and maintain a streak?

Your streak is measured by the number of repeated MLB games the players you select are credited with a hit during the Contest Period.

Unless the Mulligan feature applies (as set forth in the Mulligan Feature above), your streak will automatically end and you must start to build your streak again from zero if you select a player for any MLB game who does not get a hit and has at least (i) one official at bat, or (ii) one sacrifice fly during the MLB game for which you selected him.

Participants can make two selections during any Game Day by making a "Double Down Pick. Herein, participant can select a second player to increase their streak by two in one Game Day.

In case your selected player is scheduled to play in a double-header on any given Game Day, you must select the exact MLB game for which your pick will apply for that Game Day. Also note that your MLB player selection will automatically apply for the first game of the double-header unless you manually change your MLB game selection

Grand Prize:

The first eligible participant, who achieves at least a 57 game hitting streak, will win $5,600,000.

The Grand Prize will be awarded as the winner's choice of either a 30 year annuity or as one lump sum payment.
In the event two or more eligible participants each achieve 57 game streaks on the same Game Day, the Grand Prize will be divided evenly among all tied eligible entrants.

Top Streak Prize

If no participant achieves a 57-game hitting streak or greater during the Contest Period, the eligible participant with the longest hitting streak during the Contest Period greater than or equal to 20, will win $10,000 as Top Streak Prize.

In the event of a tie, the Top Streak Prize will be divided evenly among all tied, eligible entrants. In no event will more than one top streak prize be awarded.
