13th Annual American Way Road Warrior Contest

Difficulty Level : Very Hard ( 4 out of 5 ) American Airlines sponsor American Way Road Warrior Contest every year in which more than 60,000 travelers participate in the hope to win the coveted Road Warrior title. This year also American Airlines has come up with the contest so if you consider yourself a certified Road Warrior, then complete the three creative writing tasks in the 13th Annual American Way Road Warrior Contest to become the next American Airlines Road Warrior.

Limit: The age limit for entering the contest is 19 years for Alabama and Nebraska residents and 18 years for remaining states. Participants can enter the contest only once throughout the promotional period.

To enter, logon to www.aa.com/roadwarrior and click on “Enter the Contest” button. After that, complete an official contest entry form by submitting an essay describing what makes you a true American Airlines Road Warrior, 5 reasons why would your friends and family offer that qualify you as a bona fide Road Warrior and a song/poem/jingle that describes your Road Warrior lifestyle.

A panel of American Way magazine editors will judge the submitted contest writing tasks entries on or about September 22, 2014. The entries will be judged on the basis of creativity/originality (35%), clarity of expression and relevance to the questions asked (20%), description of entrant’s travel experiences (20%) and frequency of travel in the calendar year 2012 (25%).

5 finalists will be selected on or about September 26, 2014 on the basis their total score and their original entries will be posted on www.aa.com/roadwarrior between November 1 and November 30, 2014 for public voting. The finalist with the highest votes will be deemed as the Grand Prize Winner. The finalist with the second highest number of votes will be the Second Prize Winner and the remaining finalists will be the Third Prize Winners.

(3) Third Prizes: 200,000 American Airlines AAdvantage miles, a pair of Bose QuietComfort 15 Acoustic Noise Cancelling headphones, 5 Rental Rewards Days from Avis and $500 gift card from Citibank. (ARV: $5,080 each)
