Turkey Hill's Lady Liberty Essay Contest
Difficulty Level : Moderate ( 2 out of 5 ) One of the wonders of the world, Statue of Liberty symbolizes infinite opportunities and a chance to turn dreams in reality to many Americans. In tribute of the Statue of Liberty's 125th birthday, Turkey Hill Dairy has introduced Lady Liberty Premium Ice Cream in the limited edition flavor for entire year of 2011. To celebrate Statue of Liberty birthday and promote special Lady Liberty Ice Cream, Turkey Hill has offered the Lady Liberty Essay Contest especially for middle school and high school students. As per view ‘What does liberty mean to you?’ Submit your answer about on and get a chance to win $5,000 in scholarship money for educational purpose.

Limit: Each student may enter only one essay. Each applicant should be in grades 6-12 as of October 21, 2011.

Interested eligible students can enter in the Contest in either of the following ways:

1) By Internet: Fill up and submit the official entry form located at http://turkeyhill.com/LadyLibertyEssay including personal information, school information, parent/guardian information. You will also have to submit your original and unique essay on ‘What Does Liberty Mean to You?’ featuring your opinion, experience or personal feeling.

2) By Mail: Download a printable version of entry forms from turkeyhill.com/ladylibertymint and mail the form along with essay in a 9x12 envelope to: Turkey Hill Lady Liberty Essay Contest, 2601 River Road, Conestoga, PA 17516. Your essay must be typed or computer-printed, double-spaced, in English and in 2 copies of the essay. While you mail to enter in the contest, you must have to staple completed entry form with 2 copies of the essay.

From all received eligible entries, one middle-school student who belong to grades 6-8 and one high-school student who belong to grades 9-12 will be determined based on judging criteria and awarded with a first-place prize of $5,000 check towards future educational needs.

Moreover, ten other contestants will receive a one-month supply of Turkey Hill Ice Cream (ARV: $20) in the form of four certificates.

All winning essays may be published by Turkey Hill or The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation.
