Smithfield Hometown Heroes Contest

During these unprecedented times, countless heroes are serving their communities days and nights. These coronavirus heroes should be thanked and honored by us. Smithfield wants you to share a story of your hometown original hero to give them the recognition they deserve. Their names will be featured on the No. 10 Smithfield Ford Mustang at a race during the NASCAR playoffs and awarded with amazing prizes such as bacon for a year, a VIP race day experience, and more.

Limit: You must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible for the contest. You can submit a total of 5 entries during the Promotion Period.

How to Enter:

To enter you have to nominate yourself or someone you know deserves to be recognized. You can nominate nurses, doctors, truckers, grocery store workers, truck driver, cleaning & custodial Staff, Teachers, Food service, Convenience store workers, Bus drivers, News reporters, Security Nonprofit staff, and volunteers. Just, create a video telling the story of how they (or you) have gone above and beyond in serving the local community during this year’s pandemic, making a positive impact on your hometown.

Judging and Winner Selection:

A panel of judges will judge all the entries based equally on the following criteria:

• persuasiveness of story
• Quality and composition of the video production
• The amount of creativity demonstrated in the video
• The 10 entries with the highest score will be the Grand Prizes winners

• Have an opportunity for a virtual race credential and virtual meet and greet with driver Aric Almirola
