Lysol Blue Ribbon School Attendance Contest

Difficulty Level : Moderate ( 3 out of 5 ) Blue Ribbon School Attendance Contest is organized to encourage healthier habits at schools and communities. This contest also inspires and motivates families countrywide to adopt healthier habits at house and also helps in decreasing absences at school. School teachers are invited to enter their school in this Contest and are provided with the information and materials required to participate and compete for a chance to win $10,000 or more for their school by the custom online hub. Limit: Entrant must be 18 years old or older, and have any or all of the following grades: PreK – 5th at the time of entry. There is no limit specified in this contest.

A single teacher from an eligible school needs to visit www.scholastic.com/lysol, download the Blue Ribbon Attendance Contest Handbook online there, separate the Classroom Attendance Tracker, and fulfill their contact information and track attendance for their students every day throughout the month of November 2011. They will need to count total attendance at the end of the month.

Then complete the Stay Well Card lesson plan with their class throughout the month of November 2011. After that, mail their fulfilled Classroom Attendance Tracker form and classroom Stay Well Card to Scholastic before December 15, 2011, to: Lysol Blue Ribbon Attendance Contest; 557 Broadway, PO Box 711; New York, NY 10013.

One Grand Prize winning classroom, one 2nd Prize Winner, one 3rd Prize Winner, and fifteen Runner-Ups will be selected on or about January 12, 2012 from among all eligible entries received during promotion period. The Teacher will be informed on or about January 19, 2012 by phone or e-mail.

One Grand prize winning classroom will be awarded with $10,000 for their school.

Second Prize Winning Classroom will get $5,000 for their school.

Third Prize Winning Classroom will obtain $2,500 for their school.

15 Runners Up will be provided with $500 for their schools.

All 18 winning Schools will also get twenty-five Scholastic books for the classrooms that submitted the winning entries.
