2013 Roommate Of The Year Contest

You could be the 2013 Roommate of The Year. Simply you have to show why you’re the best of the best when it comes to being a roommate in your creative video and get entered into the contest. All renters across the nation, get ready with your camera to be creative and step forward for a chance to win the coveted Apartments.com 2013 title of Roommate of the Year plus FREE rent for a Year + $10,000 in cash. There will be also four $500 runner up prizes awarded.

Limit: Entrant must be 18 years of age at entry time. Only one entry is permitted per person.

For competing in the contest you have to create a 2 minutes video in one of these contest categories: the Loveable Compulsive; the Purr-fect Pet Owner; the Environmentalist; and the All-Star Roomie. For more details about categories, read out full official rules.

Once you are ready with your video featuring any of the given categories, then go online and visit www.roommateoftheyear.com within the contest period. And complete the official entry form including your creative video, creatively making Your case for the ‘Roommate of the Year’ title and the coveted Roomie award following the Roommate of the Year Contest Judging Criteria.

On May 20, 2013, top entries from all eligible entries will be selected by a qualified panel of judges in first phase of winner selection procedure. Then all top entries will be transferred ion second phase where all these entries will be posted on website for public to cast their vote to for their favorite entry between May 28, 2013 and July 7, 2013. From all ten, five finalists will be selected on the basis of a combination of public votes and independent judging of judges’ panel. After the turn of third phase, there will be one grand prize winner selected from all five Winners' entries based on the Judging Criteria. And remaining four winners will be announced as runner-up prize winners.

The lucky winner will receive free rent for a year valued at $10,000 + an additional $10,000, in a single check. In addition, four runner-up winners will be awarded with a check in amount of $500.
