Manischewitz Cook-Off Contest

Difficulty Level : Moderate ( 2 out of 5 ) Nation's largest producer of processed kosher food products, Manischewitz has come once again with Man-O-Manischewitz Cook-Off Contest. It is its sixth annual friendly food contest. Want to show your cooking talent? The contest is the best way to prove that you are best chef. Then gear up to submit your best original recipe including Manischewitz Ready To Serve Broth and other Manschewitz products to compete for the best chef title and win $25,000 in prizes consisting of Maytag Appliances and the chance to fly to the New York for competing in front of Celebrity Chef Claire Robinson in final Cook-Off.

Limit: One entry is permitted per person per day. Entrant must be 18 years old or older at entry time.

Visit www.manischewitz.com to access the Manischewitz Cook-Off Contest entry form page during the contest period. Fill out the entire entry form including your all contact information and your unique and original recipe.

Alternatively, you can also enter in the contest by mailing a piece of 8 1/2" x 11" paper on which you have hand printed or typed your unique and original recipe and complete name, complete address and telephone numbers on the back of your recipe to: Manischewitz Cook-Off, c/o BHGPR 546 Valley Road, Upper Montclair, NJ 07043.

After the contest entry period, from all entered entrants 15 semi-finalists will be selected on the basis of criteria. Then four top-scoring entries will be determined as contest finalists and all four finalists will advance for the Grand Prize cook-off in which finalists will be required to prepare their recipes exactly as submitted, in one hour in front of a live audience. The Grand Prize cook-off will be conducted on March 28, 2012 in New York City. Lastly, one Grand Prize winner will be deemed based on judging criteria.

A grand prize winner will receive Maytag Appliance prize pack worth $15,000, $1000 grocery retailer gift card, a $7,000 cash from Manischewitz, a two-day/one-night trip to NYC for finals (ARV: $1,500), a winner trophy (ARV: $500) and a home page feature on Manischewitz.com.

There will be other finalist prizes also awarded to five finalists. The finalist prize consists of a two-day/one-night trip to New York City to compete in the Finalist cook–off on March 28th, 2012 and a $100 American Express Gift Certificate plus Manischewitz products worth $500.
