Instructables ShopBot Challenge Contest

Difficulty Level : Very Hard ( 4 out of 5 ) For all of you who have been excitedly to show off your best instructable creation, the wait is over! Instructables want to listen and see an instructable that best shows off your creativity, skills, and maker knowhow. Instructables has offered challenge for all because they are seeking one best creator’s creation to give him/her a Shopbot, CNC router capable of cutting and carving intricate shapes out of a wide variety of materials to encourage their skills and talents to make great use of it. Let’s create your own instructable project showing how to make with great photos, written instructions and file it in the Instructables ShopBot Challenge Contest to compete for the contest grand prize of a brand new ShopBot PRS Standard 96-48-6 CNC machine, a copy of Autodesk Inventor Publisher 2011 as well as an Instructables prize pack.

Limit: Unlimited entries are accepted, but each participant can only win one prize. At the entry time, participant should be registered Instructables members and at least thirteen years old.

You may enter in the sweepstakes through any of two following ways:

Entry with New Intractable: To enter in the contest, initial registration at the sponsor website must be required. It is a project based contest so you have to file your project in the step-by-step, photo, or video Instructables format that best shows off your creativity, ingenuity, and maker knowhow. When your project is ready, visit www.instructables.com/contest/shopbot/?show=ENTER and follow the link and information to advance on the entry page and publish your project on the website. At the time of publishing, you will be asked to enter in any ongoing contests. If you want to enter your project in the Contest, select the contest option and check the box next to the contest name to enter in the contest.

Entry with Previously Published Instructable: If you previously published a project after the starting date at www.instructables.com/contest/shopbot/?show=ENTER but did not enter your project in the Contest, then you can enter it in the contest by following few simple steps. If you want then review a list of projects and select your project from them that you published after the Start Date. Then check the box next to the contest name to enter in the contest.

Note: You may not enter and register the same Instructables project in more than three Instructables contests in total.

A voting period will be taken place before the ending date of contest and three days after the ending date. During that time, all registered Instructables members will be invited to cast their vote on their favorite entry. After that, two rounds of judging will be conducted to determine the contest winners on the basis of a composite score based on the criteria. From all participants’ entries, there will be total 13 entries selected on or around March 7, 2012 for contest prizes.

Lucky one grand prize winner will be awarded with a PRS Standard 96-48-6 ShopBot CNC machine and a copy of AutoCAD 2011, and an Instructables prize pack (Total retail value of grand prize: $18, 806).

Two first prize winners will receive a copy of Autodesk Inventor Publisher 2011 ($2495), one choice of Bench Drill Press, MIG Welder, or Band Saw and an Instructables prize pack (Total retail value of first prize: $2820).

Other ten runners up prize winners will be given a Leatherman Juice and an Instructables prize pack (Total retail value of runner up prize: $75).
