If you have this great talent, then why don’t you enter the 2012 Hood New England Dairy Cook-Off contest? This contest is sponsored by HP Hood LLC, Garrand, and Entertainment Saint Louis to offer you a chance to win $10,000, $500, or $100 and one night hotel accommodation at the Westin Providence in Providence, Rhode Island. You need to enter your best original recipe/top dish that should be easy to prepare, and very tasty but according to the selected categories of the contest, for participating. Do not think anymore! Go ahead and try your luck.

Limit: One entry per person per email address per category during the contest period. Participants must be 18 years old or older and not professional home cooks at the time of entry.

You can enter the contest by two ways such as online and by mail. In first way, visit www.hoodcookoff.com, follow the instructions, and complete an online contest entry form by providing required information such as name, address, city, state, zip code, phone number, age, email address, select category of recipe, recipe name, utilized Hood diary products, ingredients, cooking directions, and preparation time, then submit it during promotion period. There are five categories such as Breakfast/Brunch; Lunch/Dinner; Soups/Chowders; Appetizers/Side Dishes; and Dessert, in which you can submit your recipe to get entry in the contest.

In second way, write your original recipe, recipe name, preparation time, cook time, number of servings, each recipe ingredient with specific flavor, exact measurements in U.S. weights or measures, equipment needed and complete preparation directions on an 8 ½ x 11-inch sheet of plain paper as well on the back of it write your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, the recipe category, recipe name, name of the Hood products used and the cooking method for the recipe and mail it to: Garrand, Attention – 2012 Hood New England Dairy Cook-Off, 75 Washington Avenue, Portland, ME 04101.

Thirty Semi-Finalists (one Semi-Finalist per category per state) will be selected on the basis of judging criteria such as 10 points for use of Hood products, presentation and appearance of prepared dish; 20 points for the creativity of the recipe; and 20 points for taste appeal. Semifinalist will be informed on or about October 1, 2012 by phone. Semi finalists will be given the some time to prepare, cook and serve their recipe submissions. Five finalists will be selected in Cook-Off event. One Grand prize winner will be selected on the basis of judging criteria like 20 points for taste appeal; 10 points for Presentation/Appearance; and 20 points for Creativity/Originality from five finalists.

Grand prize winner will receive $10,000.

Four Finalists will each receive $500.

Semi-finalists will each receive $100; and one night standard hotel accommodation at the Westin Providence in Providence, Rhode Island on Saturday, October 20, 2012 worth $179 (ARV: $279 each).
