Cook Your Heart Out 2012 Contest

Difficulty Level : Moderate ( 3 out of 5 ) If you are passionate about cooking, here is an interesting and healthy cooking competition comes for you. The “Cook Your Heart Out 2012 Contest” is very unique contest in which you can send your own delicious, nutritious, heart healthy recipe and if your recipe would be the best from all then you can get a chance to win a trip to New York. At the same time, you could also win $25,000 cash if you will be selected as the grand prize winner. So, don’t overlook this wonderful opportunity that provides you with a chance to showcase your cooking skills along with other tempting prizes.

Limit: To take part in the contest, the participant must be of 16 years or above.

There are two methods to take part in the contest. The first method is an online method. In this method, visit www.goodhousekeeping.com/CYHO and submit an online entry form with all necessary information including complete recipe preparation instructions (along with its ingredients), uploaded photo of the contestant and a brief description about the importance of heart-healthy cooking.

Second method is mail-in method. You can send your recipe via U.S. Postal Service to the following address: Good Housekeeping/CYHO, Attn: Robyn Rizzi, 300 West 57th Street, 32nd Floor, New York, NY 10019. Mail in entry must be postmarked by 30th April, 2012 so as received by 10th May, 2012.

Make sure that entry recipes must be in one of the following four categories: Sides, Desserts, Entrees or Kid-Friendly in both methods.

From all eligible entries, twelve finalists will be selected by judging panel and the winners will be informed via phone, email or postal mail on or about 15th July, 2012.

One grand prize winner and three first prize winners from twelve finalists will be judged at a live cookoff competition in New York which will be held on 12th October, 2012. Winners will be notified at an award ceremony on 12th October, 2012.

The twelve finalists will receive a trip to New York including airfare, hotel accommodation and all local transfers and transportation. (ARV: $2,750)

Three first prize winners will receive $5,000 cash.
