America's Better Sandwich Contest

Difficulty Level : Very Hard ( 4 out of 5 ) Brownberry Bread, Arnold Bread and Oroweat Bread once again come to launch another “America's Better Sandwich” Contest to find out sandwich recipes that are tasty and full of nutrition. If you think you can make a great sandwich, submit your unique sandwich recipe in one of the five sandwich categories: Creative Classic, Open-Face Artistry, Breakfast in Bread, State Favorites, and Fueling Good. Here, you could win cash prize worth $25000 or $5000.

Limit: The age requirement to enter the contest is 18 years. Participants can enter two times per Category which means a total of ten times during the Entry Period.

To enter the contest, logon to www.americasbettersandwich.com during the entry period and press the “Enter Now” button. After that, submit the entry form by entering your basic details, bread type, recipe (name, ingredients, method of preparation, category & serving) and a short description about what makes your sandwich the best.

Qualified judges will judge all the eligible Entries. There will be three tiers of judging:

First Tier: Judges will judge the entries on the basis of Nutritional quality of selected ingredients (50%), Provides unique/creative flavor profile (30%) and Perceived ease of preparation (20%). The 50 Entries (10 from each Category) with the highest scores from the First Tier will be determined as Semi-finalists.

Second Tier: All the 50 Semi-finalist Entries will be then judged by a separate panel of qualified judges on the basis of Nutritional quality of selected ingredients (50%), Provides unique/creative flavor profile (30%) and Perceived ease of preparation (20%). The 5 Entries (1 from each Category) with the highest scores from the Second Tier will be determined as Finalists.

Third Tier: Sponsor will prepare the 5 Finalist Entry sandwich recipes using the instructions provided by Entrants. Then, every entry will then be judged by a panel of qualified judges on the basis of Taste (30%), Creativity/Innovation (30%), Nutritious analysis (30%) and Online Voting (10%).

During the Online voting period, the 5 Finalist Entry sandwich recipes and photos will be displayed for public voting at www.americasbettersandwich.com. Anyone can give one vote per category daily.

The finalist with the highest overall score will be the Grand Prize winner. There will be four Category Prize winners (one from each Category).

Grand Prize (1): $25,000 awarded in the form of a check (ARV: $25,000)
