$10,000 AARP You and Your Town Contest

Difficulty Level : Moderate ( 2 out of 5 ) Is your town an interesting place to live? What is there which makes it Special? Tell AARP why your town is a great place to live by submitting an essay in the You and Your Town Contest and you could win $10,000 or maybe you could win one AARP RealPad by entering the Sweepstakes every day. Hurry up and give your best for your chance to win!

Limit: Each entrant may enter the Contest one time during the Submission Phase and one time per day during the Promotion Period. The entrant must be at least 45 years old at the time of entry.

Contest Entry: During the Submission Phase, visit sweeps.aarp.org/yourtown and follow the links and instructions to complete and submit the registration form including your AARP.org login information and a valid email address. Then, follow the links and instructions to submit one essay that answers the question Why is your town a great place to live? and an optional photo in order to receive one Contest entry.

Sweepstakes Entry: During the Promotion Period, visit sweeps.aarp.org/yourtown and follow the links and instructions to complete and submit the registration form including your AARP.org login information and a valid email address. Then, follow the links and instructions to click on and read one factoid to receive one Sweepstakes entry into the applicable Daily Entry Period. Limit: Each entrant may read fourteen factoids per day to receive fourteen entries into the Sweepstakes per day.

If you do not have an account, you may create one. Creating account is free. The Sweepstakes consists of ninety two daily entry periods and the Contest consists of three phases.

Judges will select the top ten Submissions per Community based on Creativity/Originality, Quality and Fit with Contest Theme. You can vote for your favorite Finalist one time per day per Community during the Voting Phase. Each potential Contest winner will be notified by mail, email or phone on or around January 5, 2015.

Prizes

Nine Contest Prizes: Each Grand Prize winner will receive $10,000. ARV: $10,000 each. Total ARV of Contest Prizes: $90,000.

Ninety Two Sweepstakes Prizes (One per Daily Entry Period): Each Sweepstakes prize winner will receive one AARP RealPad. ARV: $189 each. Total ARV of Sweepstakes Prizes: $17,388.
