The Connor Group, A Real Estate Investment Firm, LLC (TCG) has agreed to resolve claims that it collected biometric information or identifiers for timekeeping without prior consent with a $237600 settlement. Plaintiffs have alleged that the defendants didn’t obtain written or informed consent, provide notice, or make publicly available a biometric data policy according to the requirements of the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA).

TCG has agreed to honor the settlement terms despite denying all wrongdoing and maintaining that it hasn’t violated BIPA or any other law. Class members will be eligible for the benefits of this settlement if they worked with Connor Group in Illinois including as a temporary contractor or worker whose biometrics were captured, collected, received, or otherwise obtained by the Connor Group before they signed a written consent form between 28th February 2017 and 8th April 2022.
